B1 915.8g B2 1002.5g DAQ trigger rate 1.4 kHz M1, M2 and M12 discriminator thresholds set to 50mV Runs 5083 - 5092 *** http://midtwist.triumf.ca:8081/EL/020603.396?exp=twist 5083--5092 "Test writing data" is listed for these next runs in the runlog, but I think it's the same kind of data used in the previous few (only with smaller data files)... 5093--5095 Back to 29.4 MeV/c, same trigger and threshold (M1.M2.M12, 50 mV), with 100% He degrader. Stopping muons in the target, I think. 5096--5097 (There are a cuple of "short" runs to test logging here...) Focus study. See elog, starting here: *** http://midtwist.triumf.ca:8081/EL/020603.23234?exp=twist 5101--5106 Examining pulse heights on target PC's; various HV and momentum settings. See runlog for details. *** Elog: We will start taking surface muon data with 100% He. We will vary the voltage on the target PCs from 1900-2150 in steps of 50 to look at ADC spectra in the target PCs at the mid range setting. 100k events should be enough at each HV setting. The muon beamline tune recommended by Glen will be used: file m13_dev_29p4_all.snap. *** http://midtwist.triumf.ca:8081/EL/020603.27973?exp=twist *** Elog: For runs 5109-5122 (100% helium), these are the NMR probes readings and scintillator counter readings for the beamline tune data taken varying the high voltage in the PCs: For 29.4 MeV/c surface muons: Muon Counter: 1912 Hz Downstream Counter: 5212 Hz B1: 868.52 Gauss (NMR reading) B2: 950.92 Gauss (NMR reading) For 33.0 MeV/c surface muons: Muon Counter: 267 Hz Downstream Counter: 5924 Hz B1: 887 Gauss (NMR reading) B2: 1065.50 Gauss (NMR reading) *** http://midtwist.triumf.ca:8081/EL/020603.32895?exp=twist 5109--5122 One run of 31 MeV/c alignment data, with the Downstream DC's HV at 2100. (?) *** Elog: We are now changing the degrader gas to 60 cc/min He and 40 cc/min CO2. We are also taking alignment data simulaneously while the gas is mixing. We will continue to look at the ADC distributions once 90 minutes have passes. *** http://midtwist.triumf.ca:8081/EL/020603.34686?exp=twist 5123 "Beam tune data" (?). Details in this elog (partially shown here): *** Elog: Maher's conclusion from looking at the PACT data, and PC efficiency is that the PC's have different gain curves. I will try to match the gains of the PC's by looking at the PC ADC pulse width plots for 33MeV/c beam. *** http://midtwist.triumf.ca:8081/EL/020603.27973?exp=twist And here's the beamtune info: *** Elog: Beam set to 33 MeV/c to look at PACT data in target PC's.
