Any steering effect is not obvious. Perhaps the spots are defined by the chamber location with respect to the magnetic field axis, as the muons will follow the field lines. Is this a tool to align the field with respect to the chambers, and eventually the beam? To see a more gross effect, B2 has been reduced by another 10 G. *** http://midtwist.triumf.ca:8081/EL/011123.9454?exp=twist 3572--3590 Returned B2 back to 2958DAC and 943.66 Gauss (ie. nominal). Trigger rate is about 10 1/s at threshold 200 mV. Counting rates on the M1 and M2 are about of 110 and 30 per second. Different rates are due to difference of applied HV on M1 and M2 (1600V and 1550V respectively). We took short run03674 (23219events) at these conditions and decided to take data with an increased HV on M2 (1600V). Stuff was twiddled during these runs... *** http://midtwist.triumf.ca:8081/EL/011202.7992?exp=twist 4287--4294 Nominal settings again (29.4 MeV/c, no field). 4295--4304 Move stops upstreem (changing momentum along the way; see runlog). Still no field. 4305--4335 Move stops downstream (changing momentum along the way; see runlog). Still no field. 4336--4392 Beam off for maintenance day. No more runs until January, so I think that's it!
